Roger Daltrey records ‘Let My Love Open the Door’ for Charity
The 36 year old track got an update. In fact First Citizens Bank and Republic Records have teamed up with non-profit Teen Cancer America to release an exclusive recording of Roger Daltrey performing this 80s classic.
Few weeks after leaving the hospital (Roger's been treated for viral meningitis), Townshend’s bandmate Roger Daltrey jumped into the studio to rerecord the song for “Open the Door” their joint charity, Teen Cancer America. Daltrey’s cover of the song is the theme for this new advertising campaign for the charity.
Teen Cancer America focuses on updating hospitals and medical facilities across the country to create treatment centers specifically for teenagers.
