The Beatles’ Live at Hollywood Bowl Set for Release September 9
The Beatles to release remixed and remastered recordings from their Hollywood Bowl concerts, the legendary shows from 1964 and '65.
The album 'The Beatles: Live At The Hollywood Bowl' consists of material drawn the band’s three sold-out concerts at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl in 1964 and 1965, and will be released on September 9 by Apple Corps Ltd. and Universal Music Group.
Back in 1977, the Beatles had released 'The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl', a live album capturing the band’s riotous mid-’60s concerts in L.A. “The chaos, I might almost say panic, that reigned at these concerts was unbelievable unless you were there”, said producer George Martin upon its release.
'The Beatles: Live At The Hollywood Bowl' will be released worldwide on CD and for digital download and streaming on September 9, followed by a 180-gram gatefold vinyl LP on November 18.
As well as four previously unreleased recordings, the album package includes a 24-page booklet featuring a new David Fricke essay. Check out the tracklist below.
The record was directly sourced, remixed, and remastered from the original three-track recordings, by Giles Martin (George Martin's son), James Clarke and Sam Okell at Abbey Road Studios.
