Clip for Gone Is Gone's atmospheric single finds band members Troy Sanders, Tony Hajjar, Troy Van Leeuwen, Make Zarin performing in silhouette.
Gone Is Gone is an experimental rock supergroup featuring members of Mastodon, At the Drive-In and Queen of the Stone Age: singer-bassist Troy Sanders (Mastodon), drummer Tony Hajjar (At the Drive-In), guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age) and guitarist-keyboardist Mike Zarin.
After launching their first song one month ago, as already reported by OFF#ROCK. Gone Is Gone is into deep-space with new single, "Starlight." The band, masked in silhouette, performs the track in an eerie, frenetic video.
Sanders and Hajjar recently spoke to Rolling Stone about their creative approach.
"The thought behind this band is to combine what most of us know from many years of being in touring/recording entities and our love of scoring," Hajjar said. "Our goal is to be able to do more of this within this project … The goal is to be able to compose remotely, if needed, on film, trailers, or on anything else that comes up ... It feels good to know that all this music will see the light of day soon."
